i think it is fine to get a tattoo while pregnant. i think that getting a flu shot would be worse, depending on the tattoo. i want an ankle tattoo and im 16 weeks pregnant

I don't understand how a single tattoo could be important enough to even take the risk- there's not only a risk of infection of the tattoo site itself- but just think- there IS a reason that blood centers refuse blood from people who have gotten a tattoo within the past 12 months- there's a risk for hepatitis! come on now- it won't kill you to wait a year or two for that tattoo- not to mention- the article made a good point- many women retain a lot of water (not just on the stomach) so even that little ankle tattoo could be severely distorted when the body returns to it's normal state- no problems with tattooed moms- but i really think that it's just not worth the risk no matter how small you believe it is during pregnancy... it's just not as important as that little life inside....
